Krit Ventures Invested in Over 50 Companies Last Year Despite Investment Winter
Investment Execution of 90.04 Billion KRW
Venture capital (VC) firm Crit Ventures announced on the 18th that it executed a total investment of 90.04 billion KRW last year despite the investment winter. Crit Ventures actively invested in K-content sectors such as video, music, and games, as well as in blockchain-based business model innovation.
Crit Ventures made a total of 50 investments last year. The sector breakdown was ▲Content 38% ▲Games 24% ▲Platform 18% ▲Blockchain 12% ▲Commerce 6%. They executed a total of 12 project investments in various cultural content fields, some of which achieved successful early exits.
Investment results are also emerging. Crit Ventures’ first investment portfolio company, 'Velop,' was listed on the KOSDAQ SPAC at the end of 2022 and completed its final exit last year. The space sector startup 'Contec,' invested in through the 'KIP-CRIT Interactive Content Fund' co-managed with Korea Investment Partners, was listed on the KOSDAQ market in November last year. Online furniture distribution company 'Studio Samik' is preparing for its initial public offering (IPO) on the KOSDAQ market at the end of January.
