View original imageThe city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 25 middle-aged and older single-person households (aged 40-64) to participate in the ‘Middle-aged Single-person Household Chat Salon’ club from the 15th of this month until the 15th of next month.
Participants in the Chat Salon club will engage in activities in five clubs?walking, hiking, art, photography, and writing?with 3 to 5 members each.
Single-person households aged 40-64 residing in Suwon can participate. After selecting their area of interest, individuals or groups can apply. Individual applicants will be supported in forming clubs.
Detailed information is available on the Suwon City Healthy Family Support Center website or the customized online portal for single-person households, 'Sso-ok'.
Selected single-person household participants will receive support including ▲small activity and instructor fees for capacity building (reimbursement basis) ▲arrangement of external instructors ▲leadership training for club representatives (in March) ▲and venue booking for club activities. The activity period is from March to December.

A Suwon city official stated, "In 2023, the photography and cooking clubs were successfully active," and emphasized, "Suwon City and the Suwon City Healthy Family Support Center will continuously promote support projects for single-person households to help them meet each other and form social networks."
