Ulsan City Recruiting University Students Eligible for Student Loan Interest Support
2023 Second Half Student Loan Interest
University Students Whose Own or Direct Ascendant Address Is Ulsan
Ulsan City is recruiting university students eligible for student loan interest support from the 11th to February 16th.
The eligible students for the student loan interest support in the second half of last year are university students or students on leave whose registered address of themselves or their direct ascendants is in Ulsan as of the announcement date, the 11th.
The support covers the interest accrued during the second half of 2023 (July to December) on student loans (tuition and living expenses) borrowed from the Korea Student Aid Foundation since 2017.
Applicants should prepare documents such as a resident registration certificate and a university enrollment (leave of absence) certificate and apply through the Ulsan City website. Existing beneficiaries must also reapply with the required documents to receive support.
The selection results can be checked on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website in June.
Interest accrued in the first half of 2024 will be accepted for application in July and is expected to be supported by December this year.
An official from Ulsan City said, “We hope that through the interest support project, many university students can reduce the burden of interest from student loans and focus on their studies stably.”
