10th Anniversary of DDP: Record Highest Revenue and Visitor Numbers Last Year
Total Revenue of 16.6 Billion KRW · Operating Rate at 74%
Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul, which marks its 10th anniversary this March, achieved record-high revenue and the highest number of visitors last year.
The Seoul Design Foundation announced on the 11th that DDP's total revenue last year reached 16.6 billion KRW, with an operating rate of 74%. Excluding facility maintenance periods and holidays, the exhibition halls were fully booked throughout the year.

View original imageAmong last year's revenue, rental fees accounted for the largest share at 10.7 billion KRW (64.5%), followed by leasing at 3.7 billion KRW, parking at 1.7 billion KRW, and others at 0.5 billion KRW.
Last year's financial self-sufficiency for facility operations reached 105.9%. The foundation explained that the increase in revenue was reinvested into DDP's own content such as 'Seoul Light,' creating a virtuous cycle that increased visitor numbers.
The number of visitors last year was 13.75 million, the highest since its opening. In particular, during the Seoul Light event in September last year, 60,000 people visited DDP daily.
