Companies from Pohang City received numerous awards, including the Grand Innovation Award and Innovation Awards, at the world's largest IT and digital expo, 'CES 2024,' held in Las Vegas, USA, recognizing their global capabilities and competitiveness in the field of digital innovation technology.

View original imageThe city announced that among the 22 regional small and venture companies participating in 'CES 2024,' six Pohang companies won the highest honors, the 'Grand Innovation Award' and 'Innovation Awards.'
Held over four days from the 9th to the 12th, 'CES 2024' focuses on the core keywords of AI (Artificial Intelligence), robotics, and mobility, with the main theme being the future transformed by AI, titled 'All On.'
This year's CES is the largest ever, with over 3,500 companies including global giants and more than 130,000 visitors participating. Korean companies also participated in large numbers, with 600 companies, ranking third after China (1,100 companies) and the USA (700 companies).
Pohang City is the only basic local government to operate the 'Pohang Pavilion' within the 'Eureka Hall (K-Startup Pavilion),' organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development through a public contest process, consisting of five regional companies with high future potential.
Separately, along with the POSCO and POSTECH pavilions, regional companies with top core technologies also participated in the 'General Pavilion,' with a total of 22 Pohang companies showcasing innovative products leading the global market at CES 2024.

Another highlight of CES was the 'CES Innovation Awards,' where Midbar, a startup from Handong University, and Flow Studio, a science education design tool company, achieved the prestigious 'Grand Innovation Award.' Additionally, four companies?Nature Clue Tech, AN Poly, Graphene Square, and Cream?received 'Innovation Awards' given to innovative technologies and products that will change the world, showcasing Pohang's remarkable technological prowess to the world.
