Fire in Basement Level 1 of Yeouido Securities Building... Two Men in Their 30s Sustain Minor Injuries
At around 9:46 PM on the 9th, a fire broke out in the kitchen of a restaurant located on the 1st basement floor of a building with 4 basement floors and 14 above-ground floors in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
The fire department, which responded to the scene, controlled the large flames by approximately 10:17 PM, about 30 minutes after the fire started, and after conducting a search for people, completely extinguished the fire at around 1:29 AM on the 10th. A total of 141 personnel from the fire department and police, along with 32 pieces of equipment, were deployed for the firefighting operation.

As a result of the fire, two men in their 30s sustained minor injuries, including first-degree burns on both hands and a head contusion, and were transported to the hospital; their lives are not in danger. Approximately 70 people on the building's upper floors evacuated on their own when smoke began rising from the basement.
