On the 8th (local time), Jung Cheol-dong, President of LG Display, spoke to reporters during a pre-booth tour held before the opening of the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, 'CES 2024,' introducing LG Display's business direction.
President Jung said, "Because LG Display was a very successful company in the past, I think many people are worried about the current situation," adding, "I understand that people hope we will dominate the display industry like we did in the past."
He continued, "As I mentioned in the New Year's address, the direction I want to take is to focus on the essence of the business," explaining, "The essence is to create customer value and secure profits. We plan to focus on that direction to make the company financially healthy and lead a turnaround (return to profitability)."
Another keyword President Jung emphasized was organizational culture. He stressed, "We will build a healthy organization, and LG Display will be a company where members work hard and create the results they earn."

Regarding the timing of the turnaround, he said, "We must first secure financial soundness before achieving a turnaround," adding, "We will work hard to achieve (the turnaround) as soon as possible."
