Specialized Forest Creation in Section 2 of Inwangsan Necklace-type Connection Trail
Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 8th that it has recently created a specialized forest in the Inwangsan Necklace-type Connection Trail Course 2 section (around Hongje-dong San 1-100) to enhance the satisfaction of hikers.
The district removed tree species that spoil the scenery such as black locust, dense underbrush, and dead trees, and planted excellent forest species such as pine and cypress so that citizens can enjoy this forest throughout all four seasons.
Following the opening of Cheongwadae (the Blue House) in May 2022, the district is creating the 'Necklace-type Connection Trail' so that hikers can visit from Ansan (鞍山) to Inwangsan to Bugaksan and then to Cheongwadae.
This trail consists of 7 courses totaling 28.7 km, and the district is promoting the creation of specialized forests considering the characteristics of each section.
Among them, Course 2 in the Inwangsan section is 3.3 km long, connecting Muakjae Sky Bridge and Okcheonam. The district is installing a barrier-free deck road along with the specialized forest creation here.
