Former Daegu Deputy Mayor Sang-gil Lee Appointed Honorary Ambassador of International Professional Chef Organization in Korea
Christophe Kim, the Korean ambassador serving as the Secretary General of ‘Best of Gastronomie,’ appointed Lee Sang-gil (60), former Deputy Mayor of Daegu, as the Honorary Ambassador of ‘Best of Gastronomie’ Korea on the 8th.
‘Best of Gastronomie’ was established in France in 1984 and is an international organization involving global gourmets and professional chefs from 171 countries worldwide, including the United States, Japan, Australia, and Germany.
Secretary General Christopher Kim explained the background of appointing Lee Sang-gil as Honorary Ambassador of Korea, saying, “At a time when K-food is gaining worldwide attention, he is a figure who has strived to elevate the status of K-food through his experience in management innovation at EXCO, contributing to a further leap into global expansion.” Former Deputy Mayor Lee Sang-gil stated, “I will participate in revitalizing the local economy in the glocal era.”
