Ulsan City announced on the 8th that it is recruiting the 2nd batch of new students for the ‘Ulsan Senior Elementary School,’ which will start in March, to help baby boomer retirees settle in the region and lead an active retirement life.
The recruitment target is citizens aged between 56 and 74 with an address in Ulsan City. A total of 180 people will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through on-site registration from the 10th to the 17th.
The education program is divided into four areas: general liberal arts courses, specialized fields, leisure fields, and other areas, and will be operated as a one-year, two-semester course starting in March.
The main educational content includes ▲ five specialized classes such as Japanese culture exploration and smart device utilization ▲ special lectures by famous figures on history, financial technology, health, etc. ▲ field experience activities such as picnics and school trips.
An official from Ulsan City said, “Through the ‘Ulsan Senior Elementary School,’ which opened in March last year and is entering its second year this year, we will do our best to provide high-quality education tailored to the diverse educational needs of seniors, including baby boomer retirees.”
‘Ulsan Senior Elementary School’ is a free educational institution specialized for seniors, offering various and beneficial educational programs for baby boomer retirees and the elderly.
