"Soothing the Weary and Struggling Youth Hearts"... Jungnang-gu Supports 'Youth Mental Health'
Professional Psychological Counseling Voucher Support for Youth Aged 19-34... Counseling Including Pre- and Post-Tests Over 3 Months
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is implementing the "2024 Jungnang-gu Youth Mental Health Support Project" to care for the mental health of young people experiencing difficulties due to psychological issues.
This initiative is designed to heal mental health through professional counseling and prevent psychological problems so that young people, who are the future leaders, can live as healthy members of society.
The support targets young people aged 19 to 34 residing in Jungnang-gu. A voucher allowing a total of 10 counseling sessions over 3 months will be provided, and the counseling will be conducted one-on-one, tailored to the individual's situation and needs through pre- and post-assessments.
The vouchers are divided into Type A, for those needing professional psychological counseling for general mental health issues, and Type B, for those with a high demand for counseling and requiring relatively advanced counseling services.
Type A requires a co-payment of 6,000 KRW, and Type B requires a co-payment of 7,000 KRW. However, young people preparing for independence and extended protection children are exempt from the co-payment, and all youth can choose their voucher type directly.
Youth wishing to apply, or their relatives or legal representatives, can prepare the required documents and visit their local community service center to apply, or apply online via the Bokjiro website or Bokjiro app. Approximately 70 people will be supported. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the support quota is filled.
Detailed information on eligibility and application precautions can be found on the Jungnang-gu Office website.
