Official Appointment Announcement Scheduled for the 8th
The People Power Party is recruiting Jeong Seong-guk, former president of the Korea Federation of Teachers' Associations, and Park Sang-su, a lawyer specializing in school violence, as talents for next year's general election.
According to the People Power Party on the 7th, it has been decided to recruit the two individuals, and the official appointments will be announced on the 8th.
This is the first recruitment since Han Dong-hoon, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman, concurrently took on the role of Talent Recruitment Committee Chairman.
Former President Jeong is from Busan and graduated from Busan Jungang High School and Busan National University of Education. After continuing his career in teaching, he was elected president of the Korea Federation of Teachers' Associations in June 2022. He is the second president in the history of the federation to come from a regular teacher background and the first to come from an elementary school teacher background. He has represented teachers' voices in strengthening teachers' rights and education policies.

Lawyer Park was born in Seoul and raised in Incheon. He graduated from Seoul National University School of Law and Korea University Law School, and has worked as a legal representative for victims of school violence. He served as vice president of the Korean Bar Association and secretary general of the Legal Ethics Council. In April 2022, he also participated as a speaker in the lawyer-citizen filibuster opposing the Democratic Party's 'Complete Removal of Prosecutorial Investigation Rights' (Geomsu Wanbak).
