Gwangju Dong-gu, Public Institution Integrity Evaluation 2nd Grade for 5 Consecutive Years
On the 3rd, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it achieved the remarkable feat of being the only district in the Gwangju area to earn a Grade 2 rating for five consecutive years in the 2023 Public Institution Integrity Evaluation hosted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
By securing a Grade 2 rating for five consecutive years, Dong-gu has been recognized for its meaningful achievement, demonstrating that it has earned residents' trust through transparent and efficient administrative operations.
The 'Public Institution Integrity Evaluation' is conducted annually by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, comprehensively assessing 498 administrative agencies and public-related organizations nationwide on integrity perception (internal and external), integrity efforts, and corruption status, and assigning ratings accordingly.
Over the past five years, Dong-gu has actively implemented strategic tasks aimed at establishing an integrity-oriented lifestyle, improving organizational culture, building a system to fundamentally block corrupt practices, strengthening proactive administration, and constructing a safe Dong-gu that residents can feel.
Specifically, Dong-gu has strategically pursued practical measures to improve vulnerable areas through initiatives such as ▲ fostering the youth 'Saebitdeul' group to improve organizational culture ▲ collecting internal stakeholders' opinions via empathy talks and Integrity Golden Bell events ▲ establishing a real-time civil complaint satisfaction survey system ▲ creating the Integrity Dong-gu Promotion Team ▲ operating the Integrity Citizen Auditor program ▲ and conducting exemplary integrity campaigns.
