Boseong-gun Promotes Outreach Dialogue with Residents

From the 8th to the 15th, a 6-day tour of towns and townships

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that starting from the 8th in Beolgyo-eup and continuing until the 15th, it will conduct the ‘2024 On-the-Spot Dialogue with Residents’ in 12 eup and myeon areas, visiting two locations per day.

This dialogue with residents will begin with a report on the current status of county administration, where County Governor Kim Cheol-woo will personally explain the 2023 administrative achievements and the 2024 administrative plans and vision via video. Following this, an honest Q&A session will be held where residents ask questions and the governor responds.

In particular, based on administrative achievements such as achieving the highest grade in public institution integrity evaluations for two consecutive years and having the highest increase rate in the 2024 main budget in Jeollanam-do, the five core administrative goals will be shared with residents while listening to voices from the field.

Additionally, proposals such as residents’ and village’s long-standing projects, which previously took up a large portion of the dialogue, will now be received at each eup and myeon administrative welfare center, prioritized, and then requested to the relevant departments as a formalized procedure.

Opinions collected during the 2024 events will be actively reflected in county administration after comprehensive review of their necessity, urgency, and feasibility, aiming to increase residents’ consensus and satisfaction with the administration.

Governor Kim Cheol-woo stated, “To realize faster communication and more prompt administration, we plan to start the dialogue with residents earlier than in previous years.” He added, “Through this dialogue, we will inform residents of the administrative achievements and vision from the 7th to the 8th elected term, which have been tirelessly pursued for Boseong’s development, and lead the best civil-government coexistence and cooperation.”

Meanwhile, the ‘2024 Dialogue with Residents’ will be held on the following schedule: ▲8th in Beolgyo-eup and Joseong-myeon, ▲9th in Deungnyang-myeon and Hoecheon-myeon, ▲10th in Boknae-myeon and Mundeok-myeon, ▲11th in Gyeombaek-myeon and Ueo-myeon, ▲12th in Miryeok-myeon and Nodong-myeon, and ▲15th in Ungchi-myeon and Boseong-eup.
