Netmarble Appoints Vice President Kim Byung-kyu as New Co-CEO
Netmarble announced on the 3rd that it has promoted Kim Byung-kyu, Vice President in charge of Business Planning, to the new co-CEO.
Kim, who has been nominated, will serve as co-CEO alongside Kwon Young-sik, President of Business Operations, and will be officially appointed following approval at the shareholders' meeting in March.
Former co-CEO Do Ki-wook will step down from the co-CEO position and focus on his role as CFO.
Born in 1974, Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Law. After working at Samsung C&T Corporation, he joined Netmarble in 2015 and has been involved in various roles across Netmarble Company, including strategic planning, legal affairs, policy, and overseas affiliate management, making him a 'strategic planning expert.'
