Gwangju Bank Holds Opening Ceremony... "Growing into a 100-Year Bank"
Gwangju Bank held a kick-off ceremony on the 2nd to mark the New Year and reaffirm its new determination.
The executives and employees of Gwangju Bank shared their plans for the New Year and pledged to grow into a sustainable 100-year bank based on the management philosophy of solid qualitative growth amid an expected challenging business environment.
In his New Year's address, Gwangju Bank President Ko Byung-il emphasized the need for timely responses through more meticulous analysis of ongoing tasks in the rapidly changing financial and economic landscape.
He presented five practical tasks: ▲ balanced growth based on sound management ▲ enhancement of future competitiveness ▲ regional win-win management ▲ strengthening synergy ▲ and reinforcing consumer protection.
President Ko explained, "Over the past year, our executives and employees have played a key role in the virtuous cycle of the regional economy, achieving solid internal growth despite numerous difficulties."
He continued, "This year, with the acceleration of the digital transformation and the application of AI-based technological innovation, we face a new regime era characterized by rapid changes in the financial market along with the entrenchment of high interest rates and low growth, which is expected to accelerate difficulties such as concerns over the insolvency of marginal borrowers.”
