National Natural Recreation Forest "Closed Days Hikers Entry & Online Silver Priority Reservation"
The National Natural Recreation Forest announced major new policies and systems changing in the new year, including allowing hikers to enter on closed days and introducing an online priority reservation system for seniors.
Starting from the new year, the Natural Recreation Forest stated on the 2nd that hikers will be allowed to enter the 46 national natural recreation forests nationwide even on closed days (every Tuesday).
Until now, only certain institutions and organizations with prior approval for official duties were allowed to enter the natural recreation forests on closed days. However, from this year, personal entry for hiking and walking purposes will also be permitted, considering public convenience.
The check-in time for campgrounds will also be moved earlier from 3 PM to 2 PM. This measure reflects the voices of campground users. However, for rooms requiring maintenance such as cleaning and laundry, the check-in time will remain the same as before, so prior confirmation is necessary.
The discount rate for natural recreation forest usage fees for national veterans (grades 8 to 14) will be increased to 30% for rooms (previously 20%) and 15% for camping facilities (previously 10%) only on weekdays during the off-season. This is intended to strengthen the public role of the natural recreation forests in honoring national veterans.
The fees for hot water and air conditioner usage, which were separately collected on-site at the recreation forests, will be improved to allow prepayment during the reservation stage on the SupNadeul-e system starting next year. The system will be configured so that the next reservation step is possible only after selecting these options during the reservation process, aiming to resolve inconveniences that have been raised on-site, according to the Natural Recreation Forest Management Office.
In the new year, the natural recreation forest reservation method will also be improved to be easier and faster. Four years after the launch of the SupNadeul-e reservation site in 2019, the user interface has been reorganized to clearly provide reservation policies by national, public, and private natural recreation forests.
In particular, the Natural Recreation Forest Management Office emphasized that the priority reservation for seniors aged 65 and over, which was previously only available by phone, will be improved to allow online reservations.
