View original imageOn the 29th, the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters held a year-end ceremony at the headquarters in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, to encourage firefighters who dedicated themselves to protecting the lives and property of residents at various disaster sites throughout the year.
At the ceremony, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters awarded the Prime Minister's Commendation to four firefighters, including Fire Captain No Seung-il, who was selected as an exemplary public official. Additionally, four others, including Fire Captain Kang Dong-hoon from Yongin Fire Station, who was selected as an excellent policy proposer for the ‘Paran119’ think tank, received the Governor's Commendation.
The ‘Paran119’ outstanding activity team award went to the ‘Sae(3) Paran 119 Wave Movement’ team, which proposed ideas for improving organizational culture.
Furthermore, nine individuals holding Guinness personal records, recognized for the first time this year by Gyeonggi Fire, were presented with commemorative plaques.
Fire Captain Choi Jong-min of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters was recognized as the public official with the most certifications, holding 56 certificates. Firefighter Lee Hee-won of Namyangju Fire Station was honored as the firefighter with the most blood donations, having donated 332 times, and Fire Lieutenant Lee Young-ah of Ilsan Fire Station was selected as the public official with the most children, raising six children.
