Seong Sang-yeop, chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, announced on the 29th that he will focus on the globalization of venture companies and the revitalization of venture finance next year.
In his New Year's address, Chairman Seong stated, "First, we aim to pool our capabilities for the globalization of ventures," emphasizing, "In a global environment where rapid industrial restructuring is taking place due to digital transformation, whether domestic venture companies can secure a foothold in the global market is a very important issue that can determine the nation's competitiveness for the next 10 years."

He continued, "We will also strive to revitalize venture finance," adding, "We will work to ensure that systems to improve the investment environment for venture companies are introduced as soon as possible, and this year we will promote the venture re-startup mutual aid project to support venture re-startups and overcoming crises."
He also emphasized, "Various systems are needed to attract and compensate excellent domestic and foreign talents," stating, "We will work on securing labor flexibility considering the characteristics of the venture industry, such as improving the E-7 visa for attracting overseas talent and establishing a performance-based stock system."
