Timon 'Social Donation' Surpasses 10,000 Participants This Year
Participation of 10,100 People, Donation of 58 Million Won Delivered
Tmon announced on the 29th that more than 10,000 people participated in its social contribution campaign 'Social Donation' this year.
Social Donation is a social contribution program that Tmon has been running since its establishment in 2010. It collaborates with various domestic non-profit organizations such as Milal Welfare Foundation, Bestian Foundation, and Warm Companion to support socially marginalized groups including families of children with illnesses, low-income children, and emergency disaster response. The raised funds are donated in full without deducting any fees or operating costs. With a minimum donation amount of 2,000 won and easy participation via mobile, it offers the advantage of allowing people to contribute without burden.
This year, the number of donors exceeded 10,100, and the cumulative donation amount reached 58 million won. By donor age group, those in their 40s accounted for the highest share at 48%, followed by those in their 30s (20%), 50s (15%), 20s (3%), and 60s (2%). Looking at the donation amounts, the minimum selected amount of 2,000 won accounted for 48% of the total donations. The largest fundraising case was for the 'Sungjin family suffering from a fire accident caused by a gas explosion,' with more than 3,000 participants raising 16,493,000 won.
This year, Social Donation expanded its scope to offline activities as well. In May, to promote the culture of adopting abandoned dogs, it collaborated with the pet education center 'Dogus Planet' to hold an offline photo exhibition linked to Social Donation, helping with the treatment and adoption of abandoned dogs. Three abandoned dogs introduced at the photo exhibition found new families. In November, Tmon’s subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled caf? 'TWUC (Tuk)' hosted an exhibition supporting disabled artists.
