Jeju Western Fire Station Conducts On-Site Response Capability Enhancement Training at Hallim Oil Market
Jeju Western Fire Station (Chief Ko Jeong-bae) announced on the 28th that it recently conducted a fire drill to strengthen on-site response capabilities at Hallim Oil Market during the winter season.
With the drop in temperature during winter, the use of heating appliances is expected to increase, which in turn is anticipated to raise the risk of fire outbreaks. Therefore, improving the initial fire response capabilities in traditional markets is crucial at this time.

The training included aggressive tactical suppression drills using superior firefighting forces stronger than the fire intensity, encirclement tactics training utilizing high-performance special equipment, and drills for uninterrupted and sustainable water supply for firefighting.
Chief Ko Jeong-bae stated, “Since winter is a season with frequent handling of fire sources, the risk factors for fire outbreaks in traditional markets are expected to increase. We will continuously strengthen our on-site response capabilities to large-scale fires.”
