Cosmax Group Regular Executive Personnel Changes... "Unification of Organizational Management System"
Cosmax Group announced on the 26th that it has carried out its regular executive personnel appointments for 2024.
In this personnel reshuffle, Park Myung-sam, head of Cosmax BTI's GCC (Global Corporate Center), was appointed as the head of Cosmax China R&I (Research & Innovation) Center. Until the first half of this year, Park Myung-sam oversaw the Cosmax R&I Center and developed representative Cosmax products such as cushion foundation and lip tint. The company expects Park to lead the R&I Center in launching strategic new products targeting the local Chinese market.
Park Myung-sam had been serving as the head of the newly established GCC in the second half of this year to support global subsidiaries. He is credited with laying the foundation for supporting overseas subsidiary growth and operating a matrix collaboration system at the group level. With Park Myung-sam moving to Cosmax China R&I, the CEO of Cosmax BTI will directly lead the GCC organization.
This personnel change also involved improving the operational system and organizational restructuring for a "Global One Cosmax." Reflecting the results of this year's personnel consulting, a unified group integrated organizational management system was introduced, with plans to expand it to overseas subsidiaries in the future. Additionally, role-based executive appointments centered on positions were implemented.
Changes were also made to the existing factory organization: the purchasing and logistics organizations were separated into the Purchasing Headquarters and Logistics Headquarters, and a new headquarters-level organization was formed in the order of purchasing - production - quality - logistics from an SCM perspective to strengthen expertise and production supply response capabilities.
A Cosmax Group official explained, “We have carried out organizational restructuring for globalization across all departments including research, marketing, SCM, and support. We expect synergy and integration between the cosmetics and health functional food organizations of domestic and overseas subsidiaries, including Korea.”
A total of 23 people were promoted to executive positions in this round of appointments.
