Since 2020, additional points (10 points in the advanced technology category) have been awarded during the evaluation of smart construction technologies for new technology designation. Up to last year, a total of 9 smart construction technologies have been designated as new technologies, and this year the number has increased compared to the previous year (4 cases).
Among the newly designated smart construction technologies, the IoT sensor smart monitoring technology uses intelligent sensors (wireless communication) to monitor construction sites and issue real-time alerts when risks occur. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport expects this to contribute to the safety management of construction workers and accident prevention.
The 'off-site construction method that inserts box-shaped modules into U-shaped precast modules' was also designated as a new technology. By additionally installing interior box-shaped modules with applied interiors, it minimizes on-site work and is expected to overcome the monotony of modular construction methods through the application of various shapes.
