How Will the Ulsan Petrochemical Complex Integrated Pipe Rack Construction Project Be Promoted?
Ulsan City Holds 'Detailed Design Service Kick-off Meeting'
Construction to Start in Second Half of Next Year... Scheduled for Completion in 2026
Ulsan City will hold the "Ulsan Petrochemical Complex Integrated Pipe Rack Construction Project Detailed Design Service Kick-off Meeting" at 2 p.m. on the 22nd in the conference room of the Petrochemical Industrial Complex Council.
The kick-off meeting will be attended by about 60 people, including Ulsan City, which is in charge of the project, 29 participating investment companies, Ulsan Urban Corporation as the executing agency, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation responsible for the project, and related personnel from design service participating organizations.
Reports will cover key review items such as on-site surveys, test excavation procedures, analysis of the status of each section of the integrated pipe rack, and pipe rack structure design, as well as permits and approvals required for the installation of transfer pipelines and construction cases within the petrochemical complex.
In addition, cooperation matters such as requesting the presence of the underground pipeline owner during test excavation, cooperation to improve the excavation permit process, and traffic management plans during construction will be explained, and active cooperation will be requested from participating companies and related organizations.
An official from Ulsan City said, "Once the aboveground integrated pipe rack in the petrochemical complex is constructed, it will not only solve the underground pipeline issues that pose risks in the Ulsan National Industrial Complex but also greatly contribute to improving production efficiency of companies through securing safe logistics."

The Ulsan Petrochemical Complex Integrated Pipe Rack Construction Project is a project to build 3.55 km of pipe rack structures aboveground within the complex, with a total project cost of 70.9 billion KRW (16.8 billion KRW from the national government and 54.1 billion KRW from the private sector). Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of next year and be completed by 2026.
