Gyeonggi-do Announces Call for Participating Organizations in the 'Customized Job Project for Persons with Disabilities'
Gyeonggi Province is seeking institutions to participate in a customized job project for people with disabilities.
Gyeonggi Province announced that it will publicly recruit project-performing institutions to participate in the "2024 Customized Job Project for People with Disabilities" from the 22nd of this month until January 5th of next year.
This project aims to discover and distribute suitable jobs for people with severe disabilities, such as people with disabilities who find it relatively difficult to get employed in the general labor market, people with multiple disabilities, people with brain lesions, and people with developmental disabilities. It will be conducted over 11 months from February to December next year.
Eligible institutions for participation are non-profit corporations and organizations within the province that have the capacity and expertise to smoothly carry out projects such as supporting job creation for people with disabilities.
Project-performing institutions will be selected by dividing into about 5 places for customized jobs by disability type and about 33 places for rights-centered customized jobs for people with severe disabilities.
Customized jobs by disability type include vocational training, direct jobs, and private employment placement projects targeting unemployed people with disabilities aged 18 or older residing in Gyeonggi Province.
Rights-centered customized jobs for people with severe disabilities are jobs for people with severe disabilities in duties such as ▲advocacy activities for the rights of people with disabilities ▲cultural and artistic activities for people with disabilities ▲awareness improvement activities for people with disabilities. Priority participation opportunities must be provided to (the most) severely disabled people and severely disabled people who have become independent in the local community, aged 18 or older and unemployed, residing in Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province will finally select project-performing institutions through a first document screening, a second selection committee review, and a third local subsidy review committee evaluation.
Detailed information about the project and submission documents can be found on the Gyeonggi Province website.
