Johyunnmin, Hanjin President, "Targeting 4.5 Trillion KRW Sales by 2025"
"Timing of Performance Improvement Next Year"
Johan Min Cho, President of Hanjin, announced on the 19th that the company is expanding its overseas business with remarkable achievements expected by next year and aims to reach sales of 4.5 trillion KRW by 2025.
On that day, President Cho made this announcement at the 'Time to Open the Customer's Tomorrow, Unboxing Day' conference organized for Hanjin's e-commerce clients.
Hanjin presented in its 2021 future business and management plan disclosure that it plans to increase sales to 4.5 trillion KRW by 2025, the 80th anniversary of its founding. Regarding the difference from other logistics companies, President Cho said, "Logistics is work done by people," adding, "Hanjin may not be the best right now, but we always hear that we 'really work hard and are sincere.'"
He continued, "Since we only do logistics, we cannot make money without it," and said, "So sincerity inevitably comes out."
Regarding cooperation with Korean Air, President Cho said, "We are preparing to carry out digital transformation in the air logistics sector in line with the market by cooperating with Korean Air."
In his lecture titled 'The Era of Consuming Logistics, Hanjin's Platform Business Strategy,' he mentioned, "Delivery, which was once perceived as free, has now become a service that consumers have to pay for," adding, "As a new market opens, traditional logistics companies, distribution companies, and even startups are entering the logistics market and competing."
He further analyzed, "Consumers now want 'delivery guarantees' on when their goods will arrive, and delivery services are becoming branded," adding, "Logistics has now become a core success factor in the e-commerce business."
President Cho explained that Hanjin is making efforts to enhance competitiveness by providing routing information that informs delivery drivers of their movement paths in real time by region. He also introduced efforts for mutual growth with small and medium-sized e-commerce businesses that are in logistics blind spots.
