View original imageThe era of purchasing bedding as ‘Bespoke’ (custom-made) has arrived. Shinsegae Casa’s bespoke bed, the ‘Materasso Atelier Collection,’ has been driving the company’s sales growth with great popularity since July.
According to Shinsegae Casa on the 20th, the sales of the Materasso Atelier Collection last month increased sevenfold compared to July, when sales began.
The Materasso Atelier Collection is the first product introduced after Shinsegae Casa expanded ‘Materasso,’ which was operated as a mattress brand, into a sleep-specialized brand. Customers can freely choose the design, color, mattress, topper, and other components according to their interior preferences and sleep habits to create a ‘bed of their own.’
The headboard can be selected from seven designs. ‘Fog’ features a soft rounded design and boucle fabric, receiving positive responses from the 30s and 40s age group. Other options include ‘Helio,’ with a luxurious embroidered pattern and a height of 2 meters; ‘Moonbow,’ which highlights distinctive curves; and ‘Cape,’ a wingback design.
There are six options for legs with different materials, colors, and heights. The 12 cm steel legs come in three colors: gold, chrome, and black. Two types of wooden legs and a basic rubber leg (2 cm) for low beds suitable for children and the elderly are also available. The foundation color supporting the mattress is offered in two options.
Additionally, customers can select one mattress and one topper from three types each, with twelve options based on filling material, firmness, and elasticity, allowing consideration of sleep habits.
Riding on the popularity of the Materasso Atelier Collection, Shinsegae Casa launched the customized system wardrobe ‘Neurob’ this month. It offers a total of 27 module options, including hanger cabinets, shelving units, drawer units, storage cabinets, appliance cabinets, low cabinets, and door wardrobes, enabling diverse arrangements according to user preferences. Shelves come in two colors, light gray and brown, and steel frames are available in black and light gray, allowing combinations based on customer tastes.
A Shinsegae Casa representative said, “By introducing bespoke systems in the furniture industry, we have expanded the range of choices for consumers who are not interested in the same design and materials,” adding, “As interior design is recognized as a means to express individual unique tastes, personality, and atmosphere, demand for bespoke furniture differentiated from ready-made products is increasing.”
