Samjong KPMG and Jangle Join Hands for On-Chain Data Research on Virtual Asset Accounting Treatment
Samjong KPMG announced on the 20th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Znagle, an on-chain data-based infrastructure and solutions provider, to jointly research ways to utilize on-chain data for virtual asset accounting processing.
Through this MOU, the two parties plan to jointly study methods of utilizing on-chain data for Web 3.0-based virtual asset accounting and disclosure, mutually develop their respective businesses related to this, and enhance their cooperative relationship.
On-chain data refers to all data recorded on the blockchain. Due to the transparency and decentralization characteristics of blockchain, transactions can be freely and in real-time verified. However, a limitation has been pointed out in that accessing and interpreting on-chain data often requires specialized knowledge.
Samjong KPMG, together with Znagle, plans to strengthen virtual asset-related advisory services covering virtual asset issuance systems, post-issuance asset management and disclosure, internal control and accounting, tax reporting and payment through joint research on on-chain data. Znagle is developing a Web 3.0-based virtual asset Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, and through joint research, it aims to enhance expertise related to virtual asset accounting and disclosure, understand real cases and corporate needs, and incorporate these into its solutions.
Park Seong-bae, Leader (Vice President) of Samjong KPMG’s Virtual Asset Business Support Team, said, "We will jointly research the on-chain data-related information accumulated by Znagle and proactively respond to customer needs based on this. Furthermore, we aim to resolve uncertainties in virtual asset disclosure and contribute to increasing accounting transparency in the domestic virtual asset market."
Lee Hyun-woo, Co-CEO of Znagle, stated, "So far, Znagle has focused on infrastructure capable of processing on-chain data and research capabilities to interpret it. Especially through this joint research with Samjong KPMG, we have been able to add accounting and tax expertise. We will strive further to simplify virtual asset accounting processes and popularize the Web 3 industry."
Meanwhile, Samjong KPMG’s Virtual Asset Business Support Team is composed of top experts in operation and management systems, accounting and control, taxation, and IT, centered around Vice President Park Seong-bae and Executive Director Choi Yeon-taek. Based on diverse work experience and accumulated know-how, the team provides high-quality services grounded in trust to participants in the virtual asset market and offers effective advisory services through close communication with relevant authorities.
