Jeonbuk National University Hospital Officially Launches 'Infant and Toddler Developmental Testing Room'
Developmental Delays and Learning Disabilities Across All Areas
Expansion of 'Nuribom Care' for Severe Neurological Disorder Patients
Jeonbuk National University Hospital (Director Yoo Hee-cheol) Department of Pediatrics announced on the 19th that it has opened the 'Infant Developmental Testing Room,' which diagnoses developmental delays and learning disabilities across all areas, and will begin full-scale operations while expanding the 'Nuribom Care' program for children with severe neurological disorders.
At the Jeonbuk National University Hospital Infant Developmental Testing Room, developmental delays in all areas including gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language, cognition, and social skills are diagnosed. Learning disabilities such as articulation disorders, math disabilities, dyslexia, and developmental aphasia are also treated.
Developmental disabilities in children arise from various factors such as intellectual disabilities, genetic abnormalities, brain damage, epilepsy, and emotional or environmental issues, requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Testing is available for all children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 years.
Two pediatric neurology specialists from the Jeonbuk National University Hospital Department of Pediatrics are currently providing care. Based on medical interviews, neurological physical examinations, and results from the Korean Infant Screening Test, appropriate developmental tests are selected and conducted for each child.

The main services include ▲linking hospital care during emergencies ▲education and counseling for caregivers on managing various medical devices ▲telephone consultations and follow-up care for patient conditions ▲scheduling management for severe patients.
A representative from Jeonbuk National University Children's Hospital stated, "We plan to expand the Nuribom Care program to provide tailored health and disease management medical services to all children with severe neurological disorders in the Jeonbuk region."
