The Korea Job Awards are presented in conjunction with the ‘2023 Korea Local Government Management Innovation Expo’ to local governments and public institutions that have implemented outstanding job policies or made significant contributions to creating quality jobs. This year, 71 local governments and public institutions participated in the expo.
Gyeonggi Province was highly evaluated for implementing generation-tailored job projects for youth (such as Job Match-Up and customized recruitment support services) and baby boomers (such as operating the Baby Boomer Job Opportunity Center and the Ieum Job Project), as well as various job projects leading the 4th Industrial Revolution and future advanced industries, including the Gyeonggi Future Technology School and G-SPEC (Gyeonggi Province Semiconductor Specialist Training Project).
Additionally, at the expo held last month, Gyeonggi Job Foundation set up an exhibition hall, provided on-site services by career counselors, and operated kiosks for Jobaba (Gyeonggi Province Integrated Job Platform), receiving favorable reviews for these experiential events.
An Chi-gwon, Director of the Job Economy Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We are pleased that Gyeonggi Province’s excellent job policies, including generation-tailored job projects and job projects responding to future new industries, have been recognized. Going forward, Gyeonggi Province will continue to implement differentiated job policies from other cities and provinces, such as community-based and industry-specific customized support policies, and do its best to create ‘Gyeonggi Province full of job opportunities.’"
