Uljin-gun Selected as Local Government for Export Merit on Trade Day
Export Value Increased by 52.1% Compared to October of the Previous Year
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, was selected as an outstanding local government for exports and received the Governor's Commendation at the 60th Trade Day ceremony held at the Daegu Inter-Burgo Hotel on the 12th.
Since January this year, the county has continuously maintained an upward trend in export volume, and as of October, the export growth rate increased by 52.1% compared to the previous year, showing the highest growth rate among the 22 cities and counties in Gyeongbuk.
The main export items are crab, canned seafood, pine mushrooms, and fishing nets. In particular, crab, a major specialty product, increased by 49.6% compared to last year, playing a significant role in achieving the highest trade export growth rate in the province.
Additionally, starting this year, Uljin-gun has been continuing efforts to expand exports by promoting export marketing projects for agricultural and specialty products in cooperation with the Uljin-gun Export Council.

Son Byeong-bok, the county governor, said, "This award is the result of local export companies actively pioneering overseas markets and expanding exports," and added, "We will continue to implement export support policies to further grow Uljin-gun's exports."
