Basic Plan for Carbon Neutral Green Growth Confirmed
Implementation of 69 Detailed Projects in Construction, Transportation, Agriculture, and Livestock Sectors
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will implement 69 detailed projects across six sectors, including construction and transportation, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030.
On the 18th, Yongin City announced that it has finalized the "Yongin City Carbon Neutral Green Growth Basic Plan (draft)" based on this content.
According to this plan, from next year until 2034, Yongin City will promote 69 detailed projects in six areas: ▲expansion of low-carbon and zero-energy buildings ▲promotion of eco-friendly vehicle distribution ▲expansion of low-carbon transportation infrastructure ▲carbon absorption and restoration through forest circulation management and expansion of new carbon sinks ▲source reduction of waste generation and expansion of resource circulation infrastructure ▲establishment and strengthening of climate crisis response foundations.
The detailed projects include ▲support projects for renewable energy convergence ▲expansion of eco-friendly vehicle distribution ▲increased participation in the automobile carbon neutrality point system ▲zero-energy apartment projects ▲spread of low-carbon farming methods ▲energy efficiency improvement in agriculture ▲support for replacement of old agricultural machinery ▲recovery and utilization of incineration waste heat ▲activation of resource recycling projects ▲management of facilities subject to the greenhouse gas emissions trading system ▲designation and operation of the Yongin City Carbon Neutral Support Center.
