Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Korean Red Cross Share Warmth... Sign 'Social Contribution Business Agreement'
Plan to Jointly Promote Regional Traditional Market Support Projects
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 18th that it has signed a 'Social Contribution Business Agreement' with the Korean Red Cross.
Minister Lee Young of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups is delivering the opening address at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Snowflake Companion Festival held on the afternoon of the 7th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul.

This agreement was carried out through the Snowflake Companion Festival's campaign, "Gathering the Strength of the Whole Nation, Sharing Warmth." It signifies the Ministry's commitment to leading the realization of social value.
The Ministry has cooperated with the Korean Red Cross in various fields such as participating in blood donation drives of love, special relief funds for the T?rkiye-Syria earthquake damage, and providing daily necessities to marginalized groups. Through this agreement, in addition to the cooperative programs both organizations have been promoting, they agreed to actively collaborate to promote and revitalize activities for spreading a culture of sharing and realizing social value.
In particular, they plan to jointly promote support projects for local traditional markets. The Ministry will provide the Korean Red Cross with information related to traditional markets, and the Korean Red Cross's 15 branches will partner with nearby traditional markets to support market merchants with safety education, mobile basic health checkups, and discount promotions at Korean Red Cross hospitals.
