GH, Recruitment of Tenants for Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Housing... January 8-19 Next Year
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) will recruit general first and second priority tenants for the 'Existing Housing Jeonse Lease Housing' next year.
The Existing Housing Jeonse Lease project is a residential welfare program where eligible applicants search for desired housing within the support limit, and GH signs a jeonse contract with the housing owner and then subleases it to the applicant at an affordable rate.
Eligibility requires being a member of a household without housing registered in Gyeonggi Province as of the announcement date (registered on the resident registration). First priority includes ▲recipients of livelihood or medical benefits ▲single-parent families under protection ▲households urgently needing housing support ▲disabled persons with a monthly average income of 70% or less of the previous year's urban worker household income ▲elderly recipients of benefits or near-poverty class.
Second priority includes households with a monthly average income of 50% or less of the previous year's urban worker household income and disabled persons with a monthly average income of 100% or less of the previous year's urban worker household income.
The support limit is 130 million KRW, and the tenant bears 5% of the jeonse deposit within the limit. The monthly rent is calculated by applying an annual interest rate of 1-2% to the remaining 95% of the jeonse deposit.
The initial lease period is 2 years, and if the tenant's eligibility continues, first priority tenants can renew without limit, while second priority tenants can renew up to 14 times in total.
Applications are accepted from January 8 to 19 next year, and applicants must visit the administrative welfare center at their registered residence to apply. The announcement of selected tenants will be individually notified by GH about 3 months after the application date.
