Jeollanam-do Jangseong-gun Holds Agricultural Specialty Products Sales Event in Jeju Island

Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do recently held a sales event for agricultural specialty products at the Nonghyup Hanaro Mart in Seogwipo-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the county announced on the 17th.

Jangseong-gun showcased a variety of products ranging from agricultural products such as strawberries, apples, ‘365saeng’ premium Jangseong rice, and Daebong persimmons to processed goods like apple juice.

A promotional event was also held where customers who purchased 1kg of strawberries received 500g of Jangseong rice as a gift, which sold out early.

At one corner of the event venue, promotion for the Jangseong-gun Hometown Love Donation Program and the online shopping mall ‘Jangseong Mall’ was also conducted.

Subsequently, on the 14th, the ‘Honorary Citizen Plaque’ was presented to Governor Oh Young-hoon at the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office. This is the first case of Jangseong-gun awarding an honorary citizen plaque to an external figure.

Governor Oh has actively led mutual cooperation efforts such as vigorous exchanges between Jangseong-gun and Jeju Province and expanding sales channels for local agricultural specialty products.

Kim Han-jong, the mayor of Jangseong-gun, said, “The expansion of sales channels for Jangseong agricultural specialty products to Jeju Province is a great hope for farmers,” adding, “We hope you will be a strong partner in building a newly advancing Happy Jangseong.”
