Delivering Kimjang Kimchi Filled with Love to Marginalized Neighbors
OCI Co., Ltd. Gwangyang Plant (Plant Manager Seo Jong-hee) donated 100 boxes (500kg) of kimchi for kimjang to Taein-dong Office through the Gwangyang City Love Sharing Welfare Foundation (Chairman Kim Jae-kyung) as part of its community return project at the end of the year.
The kimchi donated on this day was prepared to ease the economic burden of vulnerable groups during the winter and to share warm affection, and it is scheduled to be delivered to vulnerable groups in the area through the Taein-dong Office.
Seo Jong-hee, Plant Manager of OCI Gwangyang, said, “I hope that vulnerable people in the area will have a warm year-end while enjoying delicious meals with kimchi this winter,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to support vulnerable groups in the community in cooperation with the Taein-dong Office.”
Jo Hee-soo, Head of Taein-dong, said, “We deeply appreciate OCI Gwangyang Plant for showing interest and warmth for the local community,” and added, “Taein-dong will also strive to continuously carry out various activities to foster a culture of sharing in the community.”
Meanwhile, OCI Co., Ltd. Gwangyang Plant is a company producing coal chemical products and has been steadily carrying out various social contribution activities for the local community, such as sponsoring walkers for the elderly and kimjang kimchi donations for vulnerable groups.
