Korea National Oil Corporation Selected as an Excellent Institution in the 'Korea Public ESG Management Awards'

Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dong-seop) was selected as an excellent institution at this year's Korea Public ESG Management Awards.
On the 14th, the Oil Corporation announced that it received this award by achieving an A grade in the public institution K-ESG implementation evaluation hosted by the 'Korea Public ESG Institute.'
The 'Korea Public ESG Management Awards' is an event organized by the Korea Public ESG Institute to discover outstanding institutions by evaluating 66 items reflecting public institution governance, government policies, management evaluation, and external evaluation indicators suitable for public institutions based on the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's K-ESG guidelines.

View original imageThis evaluation was conducted on 87 public enterprises, quasi-governmental institutions, other public institutions, and local public enterprises. The awardees include 11 institutions that received an A grade in the evaluation results and 2 institutions that received special awards.
The Oil Corporation was selected as an excellent institution by receiving high evaluations for the high level of awareness among the organization's members regarding ESG management activities and the systematic organization of operational systems and policies.
In particular, the effective environmental management performance was highly praised for pursuing economically sustainable development while minimizing environmental impact throughout the entire process of petroleum stockpiling and petroleum development business operations.
