Changwon Special City Takes Initiative to Create a Safe Food Environment for Children
Support of Volume-Based Waste Bags to 28 Excellent Sellers of Children's Preferred Food Products
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam supported 28 excellent children's preferred food vendors, who prepare and sell hygienic and safe food for our children, with volume-based waste bags.
Excellent children's preferred food vendors refer to establishments that prepare and sell foods favored by children with balanced nutrition in a hygienic and safe environment within the Children's Food Safety Protection Zone (Green Food Zone).
These places are prohibited from selling high-calorie, low-nutrition foods that may cause obesity if consumed excessively by children, as well as high-caffeine foods that can cause side effects such as palpitations, headaches, and growth retardation.
In this regard, the city distributed volume-based waste bags to the owners of excellent children's preferred food vendors who have done their best to ensure food safety for children, along with a notice urging continuous and safe hygiene management for the health of children.
