Baemin Rider Training Center Awarded 'Advanced Traffic Safety Special Prize'
Rider Safe Driving Attitude Improved by 128% Through Education
Cumulative Number of Graduates Surpasses 13,000
Woowa Brothers, the logistics service provider for Baedal Minjok (CEO Kim Byung-woo), announced on the 13th that Baemin Rider Education Center received the Special Award from the Korea Non-Life Insurance Association at the '2023 Advanced Traffic Safety Awards Ceremony' held on the 12th at the National Assembly Members' Office Building Grand Conference Room.
Now in its 19th year, the Advanced Traffic Safety Awards are hosted by the National Assembly Traffic Safety Forum and jointly organized by five government ministries (Office for Government Policy Coordination, Ministry of Education, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the National Police Agency). The awards recognize individuals and organizations from various sectors who have contributed to reducing traffic accidents, aiming to raise awareness of traffic safety and promote accident prevention activities.
The Baemin Rider Education Center was selected as an awardee in recognition of its fulfillment of social responsibility as an offline specialized education institution for delivery motorcycles, fostering a healthy delivery service culture through systematic training. The Baemin Rider Education Center provides training at the 'Baemin Rider School,' established as a practical training ground for motorcycle riding. Through a total of 14 courses tailored to different situations, riders are enabled to prevent motorcycle accidents in advance.
The training is segmented into introductory education, basic safety education, and advanced safety education, delivered by instructors with over 20 years of experience in motorcycle education, tailored to rider capabilities. It was also found that Baemin Rider School graduates showed a 128% increase in safety driving knowledge and attitudes?considered essential abilities for safe driving?compared to before completing the training. With proven excellent educational services and effectiveness, the number of riders wishing to receive training continues to grow, and the cumulative number of graduates surpassed 13,000 as of the 7th.
