CARRY the MERRY Sharing Day is Starbucks’ largest annual social contribution activity, having raised 500 million KRW in funds every year since 2020.
For this year’s event, 1,000 KRW will be automatically accumulated per order of either the ‘Pink Chamomile Relaxer’ or the ‘Cherry Forenoir Cake,’ raising up to 500 million KRW in funds.
The raised funds will be delivered to a total of 27 NGOs and local community organizations, including the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and the Resource Circulation Social Solidarity, which are key partners in Starbucks’ social contribution activities. The funds will be used for various mutual growth activities such as environmental protection, preservation of Korean cultural heritage, and support for children, youth, and people with disabilities.
Additionally, on the 12th, Starbucks will set up a booth in the outdoor space of the Starbucks Byeoldabang branch in collaboration with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and conduct a Santa Barista fundraising event from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Customers who donate 5,000 KRW or more and become “Santa” for children will receive a tumbler as a token of appreciation on a first-come, first-served basis.
