GIST Hosts 30th Anniversary Commemorative Support Night Event
The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Lim Ki-cheol) announced on the 11th that it successfully held the ‘Night of Support’ event commemorating its 30th anniversary on the 8th, together with the GIST Development Foundation (Chairman Kim Hae-myung).

View original imageThe ‘GIST Night of Support,’ held face-to-face for the first time in about four years, was attended by approximately 200 supporters who reflected on GIST’s ‘30 years of growth’ and pledged to unite their efforts for even greater achievements ‘30 years from now,’ fostering fellowship and solidarity.
Park Ju-seon, former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (current Chairman of the Korea Petroleum Association), newly appointed as the chairman of the GIST Development Supporters Association, conveyed in his congratulatory message his determination that “the Development Supporters Association will back GIST to achieve an even greater leap forward after its remarkable growth over the past 30 years.”
President Lim Ki-cheol expressed, “I sincerely thank all the supporters for their warm love and steadfast support that greatly contributed to GIST’s ‘30 years of growth.’ GIST will create better social and economic value and further contribute to overcoming the crises faced by the nation and humanity.”
