Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) is launching a public-private cooperation system to resolve the '3 discomforts'?inconvenience, anxiety, and dissatisfaction?experienced by the increasingly common single-person households and to provide customized welfare services for them.
On the 7th, the district signed a 'Public-Private Cooperation Agreement for the Activation of Single-Person Household Support Projects and Establishment of a Support Base' with the Dongdaemun-gu Family Center (Single-Person Household Support Center) and Lotte Department Store (Cheongnyangni Branch).
This agreement marks Dongdaemun-gu's first collaboration with a private company to support single-person households. The agreement includes ▲ cooperation on educational and cultural lectures for local residents including single-person households ▲ assignment of network managers from each institution and regular working-level meetings ▲ service linkage and mutual promotion to improve local family welfare ▲ exchange of local information and resources, among other items.
According to the agreement, Lotte Department Store (Cheongnyangni Branch) will utilize its spaces and various infrastructures as well as high-quality cultural content to provide more diverse programs for single-person household residents. The district plans to continuously expand cooperation areas based on mutual trust among institutions and provide the best family welfare services to residents.
