The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (Director Park Jong-gil) is conducting a project that shares cases of injured workers returning to the workplace and society through social reintegration services.
On the 7th, the Service held an awards ceremony for the 2023 Social Reintegration Service Essay Contest to promote the social reintegration of injured workers.

View original imageThis contest was held for the first time this year to create services that satisfy customers from their perspective, allowing participation from injured workers, their families, employers, medical institutions, and other customers of the Service.
Among more than 100 entries including experience essays, card news, and UCCs, the grand prize winner, Mr. Heo Jin-ho, was diagnosed with second-degree burns on his face and eyes and post-traumatic stress disorder due to a work accident in 2022.
He depicted in an essay the process of returning from a life trapped in darkness with vision loss and psychiatric treatment to the ordinary daily life before the accident through the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service’s social reintegration services. In his writing titled “Gratitude愛 Love愛 Happiness愛,” he shared his determination for rehabilitation and his efforts to return to a new workplace.
The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service provides not only the best treatment and compensation but also various social reintegration services such as psychological counseling, employer support programs, and employment support services to help injured workers safely return to the workplace and society.
