Gwangyang Economic Zone Authority Hadong Office Conducts Investment Attraction Activities in Wuxi and Shanghai, China
Investment Briefings, Customized Consultations for Companies Interested in Investing, and More
The Hadong Office of the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Song Sang-rak, hereinafter referred to as Gwangyang Economic Office Hadong) announced that it held an investment attraction briefing session from December 5 to 8 targeting various companies and related organizations, including automobile parts manufacturers and freight transport and logistics companies in Wuxi and Shanghai, China.
In addition, individual company visits were conducted, and on the 5th, a meeting was held with Wuxi government officials to discuss investment attraction trends between the two countries.
They promoted the Daesong Industrial Complex in the Hadong District and the Galsaman Shipbuilding Industrial Complex, explaining various tax benefits and incentives to encourage companies in Wuxi to invest in the Hadong District.
The following day, an investment attraction briefing session was held for about 20 representatives and officials from approximately 10 companies, including semiconductor inspection equipment specialists and automobile parts manufacturers, regarding the Daesong Industrial Complex and Galsaman Shipbuilding Industrial Complex in the Hadong District. One-on-one customized consultations were also conducted for companies interested in investing.
Jo Eun-gu, head of the Gwangyang Economic Office Hadong, said, “Through this investment attraction activity, we were able to understand the trends of domestic companies operating in China and gather information about their potential return to Korea. We will strengthen various investment attraction and promotional activities to facilitate domestic investment by Chinese companies.” He added, “We plan to take additional measures to ensure that this activity leads to direct investment.”
