Icheon-si Secures 3 Billion KRW in Special Grants for Second Half of the Year
Planned for Road Widening and Park Maintenance
On the 7th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it secured 3 billion KRW in 'special grants' for the second half of 2023 from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Special grants are budgets allocated by the central government considering urgent local government projects or unexpected financial demands such as disasters. They are used as resources for local issues and disaster safety sectors.
The special grant projects secured by the city this time include ▲ road expansion and paving construction between Mojeon and Doji (1.4 billion KRW) ▲ replacement of artificial turf at Majang-myeon Sports Park (600 million KRW) ▲ intelligent CCTV installation project (400 million KRW) ▲ maintenance project of Secheon in Sanseong-ri (200 million KRW) ▲ pump replacement at Jumi drainage pump station (400 million KRW).
The road expansion and paving construction between Mojeon and Doji is a project worth a total of 31 billion KRW, scheduled for completion in April 2024. The replacement of artificial turf at Majang-myeon Sports Park is a project promoted to prevent safety accidents due to the aging of the artificial turf.
In addition, the city plans to expand the installation of intelligent CCTVs equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) functions for crime prevention and missing person searches.
Furthermore, the city will also promote the Secheon maintenance project in Sanseong-ri and the pump replacement project at Jumi drainage pump station to prevent resident damage caused by heavy rains.
