Jungnang-gu Mangu History and Culture Park 'Jungnang Observatory' Completion Ceremony
On the 6th, the 'Jungnang Observatory Completion Ceremony' was held at Mangwoo History and Culture Park in Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi).
The 'Jungnang Observatory,' located near the Choi Hak-song burial site in Mangwoo History and Culture Park, is a popular spot loved by residents for its panoramic views.
As the number of park visitors increased, the district improved the aging Jungnang Observatory to create a multipurpose observatory where visitors can safely enjoy the cityscape.
First, the old and narrow existing facilities were demolished, and the Jungnang Observatory was expanded to 300㎡, more than four times its previous size. A spacious stand-style resting area was created to accommodate over 30 spectators, and the observatory was divided into floors to allow visitors to enjoy various views.
Additionally, a Taegeuk pattern photo zone was established, and landscape lighting was installed to enhance the visual appeal.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "We expect this space to be used not only for viewing the scenery but also for resting and exhibitions," adding, "We will continue to strive until Mangwoo History and Culture Park becomes the best attraction nationwide."
