'Seumusall' Naver Blog Strengthens Interest Connections with 'Neighbors·Short-form'
Naver Blog, celebrating its 20th anniversary, strengthens interest-based connections through the 'Neighbor' community and 'Short-form' services.
On the 6th, Naver released the '2023 My Blog Report.' Since 2020, Naver has published blog reports to help users reflect on their year.
According to the report, 1.26 million new blogs were created this year, and 240 million blog posts were published. The most frequently written topics were ▲Daily Life & Thoughts ▲Restaurants ▲Business & Economy. The most frequently attached locations were ▲The Hyundai Seoul ▲Incheon International Airport ▲Everland.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Naver Blog's launch. Since its launch in 2003, Naver Blog has focused on its core service as a text-based recording space. As a result, it has established itself as an 'online diary' where users can honestly record their thoughts, increasing its user base among the 10-20 age group.
With outdoor activities and overseas travel increasing after the COVID-19 endemic, Naver Blog conducted the 'Check-in Challenge' to record visited places. The challenge, held for about four months, recorded over 2.3 million participations. Participants in their 10s and 30s accounted for 80%, and 64% were new participants who did not join last year's Weekly Diary Challenge.
Naver Blog plans to strengthen its community centered on 'Neighbor' relationships that share deep tastes and interests. In November, Naver Blog introduced the 'Age-based Recommendation' feature, providing popular posts from users of similar age groups in the blog recommendation feed. With the full-scale launch of the short-form service 'Clip' this year, it aims to increase the visibility of Moment creators and support text-based blog creators to grow further through short-form videos.
