The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Kim Byung-sam) held an 'Investment Attraction Briefing for Bio·Medical Companies in the Kansai (關西) Region' on the 5th in Osaka, Japan, to attract Japanese companies.
This briefing was hosted by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority and organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Osaka Trade Center, with about 300 participants including members of the Kansai Pharmaceutical Association and pharmaceutical and medical device companies from the Kansai region.

View original imageOn this day, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority introduced the investment environment related to the bio·medical industry in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone, such as the 'Pohang Convergence Technology Industrial District' and the 'Shinseo Advanced Medical District,' actively explaining the region's investment strengths and benefits for resident companies.
In addition, KOTRA Osaka Trade Center explained Korea's plans to foster and support the pharmaceutical and bio industries, and promising domestic medical companies participated to provide an overview of recent trends in Korean pharmaceutical administration.
This investment attraction briefing was held for the first time in two years, and the Kansai region of Japan, centered on Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, is a key hub of Japan's bio·medical industry, densely populated with research institutes, universities, and major pharmaceutical companies.
