CGV to Host Hirokazu Koreeda Film Retrospective Starting from the 6th
Screenings of "Eoneu Gajok" and "Badat Maeul Diary"
CGV announced on the 4th that it will hold a Hirokazu Koreeda film retrospective at fifteen arthouse theaters nationwide from the 6th to the 19th. The program includes six films, such as "Monster," which was released on the 29th of last month, as well as the Palme d'Or-winning "Shoplifters," "Our Little Sister," "Like Father, Like Son," "Nobody Knows," and "Wonderful Life." Yeogwangjin, head of CGV's content programming team, said, "We are pleased to present the works of director Koreeda, who is widely loved in Korea, once again," adding, "We hope audiences will experience the emotional impact and lingering impressions by appreciating his sharp questions and warm perspectives on life and death, family, and society." Since his debut in 1995 with "Maborosi," director Koreeda has focused on works exploring human inner life and relationships.
