Hong Seong-hyun, CEO of Daehong Communications, Awarded Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in Advertising Industry
Industrial Medal of Merit Awarded to Kim Yutak, CEO of CW
Hong Seong-hyun, CEO of Daehong Communications, will receive the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit. On the 5th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the 'Korea Advertising Awards' at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, awarding government honors to sixteen individuals who contributed to the development of the advertising industry. The awards include one Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, one Order of Industrial Service Merit, three Presidential Citations, three Prime Minister Citations, and eight Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Citations.
CEO Hong, who receives the highest honor, has devoted approximately 35 years to the advertising industry. He actively utilized new digital technologies such as big data and the metaverse to expand the scope of advertising marketing. He participated in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the 'Pink Light (a system notifying to give up seats for pregnant women)' campaign, enhancing the public interest role of advertising, and also worked to foster advertising professionals and promote win-win cooperation within the advertising community.
The Order of Industrial Service Merit is awarded to Kim Yu-tak, CEO of CW. He led the development of a new advertising technique called online performance advertising. From 2014 to 2017, he served as president of the Korea Digital Advertising Association, leading negotiations on advertising fees with global big tech companies and helping to establish a fair advertising industry ecosystem.
The Presidential Citations go to Jung In-sik, CEO of Binary Cube, who developed digital-based advertising and led overseas expansion; Kim Jae-pil, head of Innocean, who has worked on developing new advertising technologies using information technology (IT) such as 4D theater advertising; and Shim Woo-yong, CEO of NCC Ad, who enhanced public interest through various public campaigns including the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

The Prime Minister Citations are awarded to Ha Yun-kyung, head of Vividio Korea, who promoted various Korean foods; Kim Jin-baek, CEO of Hana Ad, who developed advertising technologies using internet messengers; and Jang Seong-il, head of Innocean, who increased corporate brand value through promotions and customer experience (CX) events such as new car exhibitions. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Citations are awarded to Kyung Han-su, head of DDV Korea; Ha Chung-ho, CEO of Pluscon; Lee Kwang-hyun, ECD of Daehong Communications; Jung Won-sik, CEO of Sai; Lee Young-ho, director of Admajor; Lim Jeong-jae, CEO of Seoul Light; Song Jong-hyun, CEO of J Bridge Company; and Kim Byung-jo, executive director of Nasmedia.
